This is the smallest Marley manufacturing site – with a big vision to be the clear choice for the customer while growing and developing our people to succeed in the marketplace.

We employ 30+ people, including mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, labourers, cleaners, a health & safety officer and an administrator. As with all sites, there is a big emphasis on continuous improvement, and a focus on approaches such as 5S and Kaizen, including advanced problem solving techniques.

Production Operative

Job Profile

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our site in Burton. The Production Operative must be capable of being part of a mixed skill team in a high pressure, safety driven, production environment.You should be capable of working safely on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

To safely operate production machinery as part of a team ensuring that daily production and quality targets are met

Main Activities

To be able to operate all sections of the production plant.

To comply with all safety requirements i.e. uphold the company safety policy.

To comply with and maintain the company quality standards and requirements.

To fully understand and be able to operate all sections of the plant to ensure daily production and quality targets are met.

Minimise waste, recycle where appropriate and comply with the Company Environmental Policy

To maintain good housekeeping in designated areas.

To be available for progressive training in key skill areas.

To identify and report potential problems with the production facility.

To attend daily production meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

To show a flexible approach to varying work activities.

To participate in Continuous Improvement projects when required.

To participate in and help to improve the 5S standards in your designated area.

The role requires a high level of understanding and commitment to the fact that the health, safety and welfare of all employees is critical in all circumstances.
