No two days are ever the same working in this department, as we identify opportunities for and implement a wide variety of engineering projects across the five Marley manufacturing sites , from small building assignments up to multi million pound projects. The sites can also call on our multi skilled and versatile service when they need it.

Our manufacturing vision is "Safely exceeding our customers expectations in quality, delivery and product performance through the continuous improvement of our people and process." Projects you might be working on include:

  • EHS compliance
  • Quality improvement
  • Process improvement
  • New product development
  • Decommissioning and relocation
  • Site infrastructure changes.

About our team

Our small team includes mechanical and electrical engineers; all qualified to the equivalent of degree level or higher and members of their discipline’s professional body. We put a real emphasis on sharing best practice across the different Marley sites and with the European manufacturing sites that are part of the Etex Group.

Production Operative

Job Profile

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our site in Burton. The Production Operative must be capable of being part of a mixed skill team in a high pressure, safety driven, production environment.You should be capable of working safely on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

To safely operate production machinery as part of a team ensuring that daily production and quality targets are met

Main Activities

To be able to operate all sections of the production plant.

To comply with all safety requirements i.e. uphold the company safety policy.

To comply with and maintain the company quality standards and requirements.

To fully understand and be able to operate all sections of the plant to ensure daily production and quality targets are met.

Minimise waste, recycle where appropriate and comply with the Company Environmental Policy

To maintain good housekeeping in designated areas.

To be available for progressive training in key skill areas.

To identify and report potential problems with the production facility.

To attend daily production meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

To show a flexible approach to varying work activities.

To participate in Continuous Improvement projects when required.

To participate in and help to improve the 5S standards in your designated area.
