About our Customer Services department


Burton upon Trent

With a team of around 40 people, we contribute to the company's reputation by the first class service we provide. A member of the Institute of Customer Service (ICS), it is our ambition to exceed customer expectations and provide a professional world-class service. Our membership reflects the company’s commitment to the highest standards in this area, and we are working towards ICS accreditation to gain industry recognition.

We look after all aspects of customer service including:

  • General enquiries
  • Technical advice
  • Order processing (thousands every month)
  • After sales.

About our team

  • Our team is made up of Sales Advisors and Sales Support Administrators, supported by Supply Co-ordinators and Production Planners.
  • The team is an integral part of the business, with many interactions with other departments.
  • Everybody’s opinion is listened to and respected.
  • Teamwork is key; we have a strong belief in supporting each other and colleagues in other departments to meet customer expectations.
  • We recognise and celebrate achievements (so there are quite a few cakes!)

Production Operative

Job Profile

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our site in Burton. The Production Operative must be capable of being part of a mixed skill team in a high pressure, safety driven, production environment.You should be capable of working safely on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

To safely operate production machinery as part of a team ensuring that daily production and quality targets are met

Main Activities

To be able to operate all sections of the production plant.

To comply with all safety requirements i.e. uphold the company safety policy.

To comply with and maintain the company quality standards and requirements.

To fully understand and be able to operate all sections of the plant to ensure daily production and quality targets are met.

Minimise waste, recycle where appropriate and comply with the Company Environmental Policy

To maintain good housekeeping in designated areas.

To be available for progressive training in key skill areas.

To identify and report potential problems with the production facility.

To attend daily production meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

To show a flexible approach to varying work activities.

To participate in Continuous Improvement projects when required.

To participate in and help to improve the 5S standards in your designated area.

The role requires a high level of understanding and commitment to the fact that the health, safety and welfare of all employees is critical in all circumstances.
