Batten end clips are used to ensure compliance with the British Standard 8612, as they will secure the dry verge unit more tightly to the batten end when the nail is driven through the batten end clip. This method of fixing is only required when using individual dry verge units such as; Universal, Edgemere and Ashmore. They are not required for use with continuous dry verge systems which are secured to the top face of the batten ends by integral clips.
