Looking to balance aesthetic appeal with high performance, three of the new homes feature Marley’s innovative fibre cement external cladding system, Weatherboard.
The exteriors of two 4-bedroom properties and one 3-bedroom home at the 11-plot site have been specified in slate grey and black Weatherboard colourways. This specification choice is designed to complement the mix of render and brickwork finishes utilised on the remaining homes for a highly attractive aesthetic, which fits seamlessly into Sparlings Farm’s rural location.
The cladding solution was recommended to the high-end site’s developer by local merchants Hancock’s Drainage and Building.
Owner, Paul Hancock, explains why: “We’ve stocked Marley’s tiles for many years, and last year, we added the company’s Weatherboard solution to our market offering. We have total confidence in Marley’s product performance, extensive product range and manufacturing quality.
“After discussing the project with our client, we proposed the use of Weatherboard to clad a number of the homes at Sparlings Farm, knowing it would look fantastic alongside the alternative finishes used elsewhere on the development. After assessing the range of colours available in the Weatherboard range, the client was attracted to a striking combination of slate grey and black as the final colour specification choices. They work really well together, and the client is delighted with the outcome post-installation.”
