Roof-integrated solar panels are an ideal choice for both roof refurbishments and new-build projects, providing an uncluttered aesthetic with no visible brackets or racking, as well as easy maintenance and our market-leading 15-year guarantee.

Marley SolarTile® can be fitted as part of a typical roofing project and installation is fast. Thanks to the patented push-together design, installation times of less than one hour per kilowatt peak can be achieved.
Panel details

The PV tiles measure 992x1640mm. They can be installed in a landscape or portrait orientation and are easily combined using patented push-fit technology to create solar arrays of any shape and size and the industry leading 5mm panel spacing and hidden fixings give a high-end, sleek aesthetic.

Two styles are available, providing a variety of looks and electrical outputs:

  • Monocrystalline-black - deep black colour, black frame, outputs of either 300 or 320Wp.
  • Polycrystalline-black - dark colour, slightly blue, black frame, output of 270Wp.
Panel performance
Marley SolarTile® is the only roof-integrated solar system accredited with the highest resistance to spread of flame and fire penetration in all European fire safety tests, achieving BRoof T1, T2, T3 and T4.

These solar PV tiles also provide excellent weather-tightness and wind resistance, without the need for extra roof batten support, adhesive flashing rolls or fireproofing materials. The certified wind resistance for Marley SolarTile® is more than four times higher than competitor products and suitable for even the most exposed locations.

Marley SolarTile® is compatible with the entire range of Marley roof coverings, including clay and concrete tiles and cedar shingles and shakes, and it is suitable for installation on low-pitch roofs.

Monocrystalline-black solar cells are cut from a block of silicon that has been grown as a single crystal. The result is a solar cell with a deep black colour, which is enhanced with a black backing sheet and black frame. It is available in 300 and 320Wp models.

Polycrystalline-black PV cells are manufactured from a cast block of silicon which is made up of many smaller crystals. The surface is then treated to increase uniformity and darken the colour. These cells have a slightly blue appearance, and the dark aesthetic is completed with a black backing sheet and black frame. Output is 270Wp.

Configurator

Specification couldn’t be simpler, with our configurator it’s easy to build an array of panels. Just fill in the grid to place the panels in position and the system works out which flashing kits are needed to install the array, and produces a price broken down by plot or combined into a single list. The configurator also calculates the kWp output, so you can easily achieve the correct size and performance of system. This allows you to trial different arrays with different electrical outputs, as you may need less panels to achieve the same level of performance from a higher performance panel.

Solar Energy Calculator

To support your residential clients and show them the benefit of a solar installation for their property, you can use the Solar Energy Calculator on the Energy Savings Trust website. Their tool provides estimated savings on energy bills and the financial payments they could receive by installing a solar panels. It gives an estimate based on specific client information; postcode, roof pitch, shading, roof direction and installation size.
