Yard Farm

Lincoln Clay Pantile

A self-build project in the rural village of Old Dalby, Leicestershire is one of the first in the country to be completed using the Lincoln clay pantile, an innovative easy-to-fix interlocking clay pantile.

All in the detail

The Lincoln interlocking clay pantile was launched by leading roof systems manufacturer, Marley in early 2016 and the project near Melton Mowbray is one of a number of developments already using the ground-breaking tile. The project at Yard Farm, in the village of Old Dalby, saw builders James Howden demolishing the existing house and constructing a new three bedroom home in its place. Architects HSSP specified classic-style clay pantiles for the roof, in keeping with many of the older properties in the historic village.
