Unlike other manufacturers, JB Red timber is sourced from a range of mills in Scandinavia where, due to the colder climate, the timber is slower growing, producing much stronger wood than timber grown in warmer countries.
Only kiln-dried sideboards are used to ensure stability and dimensional accuracy. All wood is supplied to us with either FSC or PEFC certification in accordance with the EU timber regulations so you can rely on its sourcing.
Treated at our Gainsborough manufacturing base to BS 8417:2011 Usage Class 2, which forces MicroPro preservative into each piece of timber, JB Red is given its unique colour by Nick. This makes it highly visible on site and ensures Building Control, NHBC, and other inspectors can see immediately that only pre-graded, high-quality, BS 5534-compliant battens have been used.
We even provide a 60-year lifetime guarantee against insect and wood rotting fungi to provide you with peace of mind when you rely on red.
When we say that you can rely on red, we don't just mean the JB Red roof batten.
You can also rely on Howard, Nick, Jenni, Ricky, and any other member of the 70-strong team here at Marley, Gainsborough to provide you with a reliable delivery service, over 110 years of experience in timber and first-class customer service.
We also ensure that JB Red is available via a reliable 3-5 day delivery service to site, or is waiting for collection at depots from Scotland to Kent, meaning it's easily accessible throughout the UK.
