Is your region solar ready?

Our solar readiness map

Discover your region’s potential for solar energy using our UK Solar Readiness Map
Marley SolarTile® install

Marley’s Solar Readiness Map has been designed to provide clear insights into the UK’s readiness for solar energy adoption. Whether you’re planning on installing solar roof tiles, interested in sustainability, or just curious about renewable energy, our map shows how prepared UK regions are for a solar-powered future.

With our interactive tool, you can explore the factors influencing solar readiness in your area and across the nation.

Methodology:

The map is created using results from an independent survey of 2,000 UK homeowners and Marley’s own database of solar panel installers in the UK. It combines:

  1. The number of households interested in installing solar roof tiles.
  2. The percentage of homeowners who have already made sustainability upgrades to their homes, like energy-efficient appliances, to understand their openness to further improvements.
  3. The number of qualified solar installers available per 100,000 households.

Using the results from each of these elements, we created a score out of 5 for each region, ranking them from least to most ‘solar ready’ to provide a clear picture of solar potential across the UK.
