Central Engineering

No two days are ever the same working in this department, as we identify opportunities for and implement a wide variety of engineering projects across the five Marley manufacturing sites, from small building assignments up to multi-million-pound projects.

Our aim is to provide a centre of excellence that uses efficient and controlled processes to produce accurate and timely results. We use a modern ERP software system (SAP) that is highly intuitive and enables us to operate efficiently.

Management Accounts

Our specialists, working in a team environment, provide on-demand support, management accounts, and management information to a variety of internal/ external customers. We are responsible for accounting and reporting for the factories and central overheads functions.

We are responsible for driving demand for products and services and developing the most effective and efficient marketing tools. It is a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where you are often working with other departments, industry bodies, suppliers, customers, and each other.

As a Commodity Manager, you would have the opportunity to devise and drive through long term purchasing strategies, improvement projects and cost saving initiatives which ensures the business meets is quality, cost and delivery targets.

Quality and Environment 

We work in collaboration with other departments and supporting organisations such as suppliers and contractors for continuity of product quality, service experience and legal and standard compliance. We recognise that the key to our continued success is the development of our people so training and personal development is embedded into the business culture.

Research and Development

The team come from a wide range of disciplines, with production and manufacturing engineers, product designers, polymer specialists, a paint/polymer technologist, concrete and paint technicians and a product testing technician.

There are three national sales teams, with the large roofing team being further divided into regional teams. Our salespeople have a strong and varied skill set including trained Quantity Surveyors, BREEAM Assessors, CAD, and an architectural background, and we also have a mixture of undergraduates and post graduates alongside experienced salespeople.
